A single vehicle collision has claimed the life of a 57-year-old resident of Rimbey.
Rimbey RCMP responded on Monday (March 10) after the incident occurred at about 5:20am at Range Road 33 and Township Road 430.
Mounties say that it is believed the female driver of the Black Chevrolet Avalanche was travelling southbound and did not stop at a T-intersection. According to police, “the vehicle then struck a grove of trees and a cable box.”
The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Condolences to the family and friends of the deceased are being passed along by Alberta RCMP.
