The Carstairs Elks are gearing up for a big annual fundraiser, well not just big it is in fact gigantic.
Rick Sayers is Treasurer with the Carstairs Elks and in charge of their Gigantic Garage Sale. He says “it generates a good portion of the proceeds that we donate out throughout the year which serves multiple communities – not just Carstairs. We donate to Kirsten’s Place in Olds, we do band and so on in Didsbury, Carstairs stuff, some in Crossfield, and we also donate to STARS, minor sports teams, and so on.”
The Carstairs Elks will hold their Gigantic Garage Sale at the Carstairs Curling Rink on May 2nd and 3rd.
They are currently accepting donations of items to sell at it. Contact Rick at 403-560-3441 for more details and to set up a time to meet to donate your item or items. He says “nothing large, no fridge, no stoves but all smaller items. Miscellaneous stuff that we can get rid off, at least that is not trash. Something that is in decent shape, re-sellable.”
Tables are available for rent as well. it is $20 per table for one day of $30 for both days. Again, contact Rick to get yours.
