The Clover Community Classic Show and Sale was held on Saturday, May 25th at the Olds Cow Palace.
It featured projects from the members of the Balzac 4-H Beef Club and the Crossfield/Madden 4-H Beef Club.
12 year old Liam Havens with the Crossfield/Madden 4-H Beef Club’s steer ‘Salt’ was named the Grand Champion Steer.
This is Liam’s third year in 4-H.
Liam’s younger brother Tristian Havens had the Reserve Grand Champion Steer. Tristian is 9 years old and his steer ‘Nugget’ was the heaviest out of both club’s weighing in at about 1,600 pounds
Meanwhile, 4-H Show and Sale season continues today at the Timber River Station with the Sundre and Bergen 4-H Multi Clubs holding their 67th annual Show and Sale.
