One of three events last weekend to begin the month of June for the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association was the Leduc Black Gold Rodeo.
Unofficial winners included Richmond Champion from Montana in bareback, Jesse Brown from Oregon in steer wrestling, the tandem of Tate and Kagen Schmidt from Barrhead in team roping, Lucas Macza from High River in saddle bronc, Tyler Popescul from Medicine Hat in tie down roping, Shelby Spielman from Ponoka in barrel racing, and Jesse Everett from Texas in breakaway roping.
There was a tie for first place in bull riding at the Leduc Black Gold Rodeo. Jared Parsonage from Maple Creek, Saskatchewan and Jordan Hansen from Amisk, Alberta both posted 88.5 point rides.
This week gets off to an early start for Pro Rodeo Canada with the Outlaw Buckers and Oil Kings Bronc Match today (June 4th) at 4pm in Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
A total of four more CPRA events are set for this weekend with tour stops being made in Bonnyville, Brooks, Lea Park, and Rocky Mountain House.
