Red Deer And District 4-H Beef Show And Sale Results

The Red Deer and District 4-H Beef Show and Sale took place on Monday at Westerner Park.
Both of the top steers belonged to members of the Red Deer East Club.
15 year old Emma Allen had the Grand Champion Market Steer. She says his name is ‘Bud’, his weight is 1,365 pounds, and he is a Simmental cross.
17 year old Kamryn Hamilton had the Red Deer and District 4-H Beef Inter Club Reserve Champion Market Steer. She says he is a home grown Simmental, he is a year old, and his initial weight was 770 pounds and his final weight was 1,461.
She says their Club has only been running for two years but they thank some of the other ones for providing them with some tips and helping out.
Meanwhile, coming up today (June 4th) is the Kneehill District Achievement Day at the Olds Cow Palace. It wraps up with the sale this evening at 6:15.
