The 70th annual Water Valley Stampede took place over the weekend.
Unofficial winners from all of the Foothills Cowboy Association rodeo action five miles west of Water Valley included Blain Pengelly in saddle bronc (72 points), Holten Harms in tie down roping (12.1 seconds), Greg Mulhall in steer wrestling (6.1 seconds), the tandem of Brady Van Geldren along with Kevin Perrott in team roping (14.0 seconds), Ashley Reinhardt in ladies breakaway roping (8.82 seconds), and Lacey Adams in ladies barrel racing (16.24 seconds).
There were no qualified rides in either bareback or bull riding.
Other unofficial winners from the FCA rodeo in Water Valley included Colt Richards in junior steer riding (69 points), Austin Kroeker in junior bull riding (64 points), Danika Scott in junior barrell racing (16.50 seconds), and Veronica Archer in pee wee barrels (18.62 seconds).
There was a tie for first place in novice horse riding between Austin Simpson and Sawyer Hutchinson. They both posted 66 point rides.
There were no succesful times recorded in junior breakaway roping.
