A&W locations in Canada have been raising money to help beat MS for more than a decade and a half.
Dean Bracken with A&W says this is the 16th anniversary edition of their Burgers to Beat MS day.
Bracken says Multiple Sclerois affects 1 in 400 Canadians, and 12 people get diagnosed with it every single day.
$2 dollars from every Teen Burger sold will go to support Canadians living with MS and you can get one from 6am until 10pm in Olds this Thursday.
Bracken adds, there are other ways to support their cause this week as well. He says “we’ve been asking our guests to round up for a while now and that’s working really well, and people are pretty generous. That will keep going until Thursday. Then on Thursday you can help by making a cash donation. We will also have 50/50 draws, and raffles, and things like that at the restaurant to help raise some money.”
Across the nation to date, A&W has raised $20 million dollars to support Canadians living with MS. Bracken says this year’s goal is to raise $1.85 million dollars across the country.
