The 2024 fundraising campaign for United Way Central Alberta was officially launched at the Red Deer Resort & Casino on Thursday, September 12th.
The kick off event saw campaign leaders, partner agencies, and community supporters come together for the shared goal of building thriving communities across Central Alberta.
Chelsea O’Donoghue, CEO of United Way Central Alberta, states in a media release that “over 38,000 Central Albertans are currently facing barriers to accessing essential Basic Needs.”
She adds, the need for suitable mental health services is also critical with 1 in 5 individuals facing mental health challenges this year.
The 2024 fundraising campaign for United Way Central Alberta features the inaugural Kick Off 5K Run at Heritage Ranch in Red Deer on Sunday, September 22nd.
